Some sofas are chosen to fill a space. Freeman is chosen to define one.
At 495cm long and 280cm deep, Freeman is one of the larger sectionals in our collection, and it’s built for homes where the living room genuinely gets used. Not staged for photos, but sat in, gathered around, and lived on.
The Details
Freeman is upholstered in a luxury quilted textile, with genuine leather and other upholstery options also available. Inside, it’s filled with goose down and memory foam, a combination chosen for that specific mix of a plush initial sink and lasting shape retention, so the sofa doesn’t flatten out after a few months of regular use the way lower-density foam often does.
The frame combines stainless steel with pinewood. Steel gives the structure the rigidity to support a sectional of this scale without sagging at the joins, while pinewood keeps the overall build lighter and more workable for the custom dimensions we offer beyond the standard size.
Speaking of size, Freeman is available in other dimensions on request, so if 495 x 280cm doesn’t match your room exactly, that’s a conversation worth having with our advisors rather than a reason to rule it out.
Who Freeman Is For
Given its footprint, Freeman suits landed homes and larger condo living rooms more than compact apartments. The depth in particular, at 280cm, means it needs a room where you’re not fighting for walking space around it.
It’s a strong fit if:
- Your living room doubles as a family space or entertaining area
- You want a chaise-style lounging end as part of the layout
- You’re furnishing an open-plan space where the sofa needs enough visual weight to anchor the room
- You’d rather invest once in a piece built to be sat on daily than replace something smaller in a few years
If your space is on the tighter side, our Avenue or Dylan sofas offer a similar design language in a more compact footprint, worth comparing before you commit to Freeman’s scale.
Styling Freeman
Because Freeman’s quilted textile upholstery has enough visual texture on its own, it tends to work best against a relatively restrained palette elsewhere in the room. A neutral rug, simple coffee table, and a couple of considered accent pieces let the sofa’s silhouette do the talking rather than compete with it.
Given its size, Freeman also pairs naturally with an open floor plan where it can be viewed and approached from multiple angles rather than pushed flush against a wall.
See It in Person
Photos and spec sheets can only tell you so much about how a sofa this size will feel in your actual room. If you’re considering Freeman, we’d recommend visiting our showroom to sit on it directly, or sending us your room dimensions so our advisors can confirm whether it’s the right scale for your space.
